FLASH BACK UPDATE: KAPPOCEY STEPS FOR SOLVING SCHOOL DROP OUT CHALLENGE IN NIGERIA

On 21 February Mr. Ayodeji the acting publicity secretary of Karu Center for Promotion of Peaceful Co-Existence and Youth Empowerment (KAPPOCEY) carried out Educational enlightment field survey, and visitation to the LEA (Local Education Authority Pry School) Garki Abuja. It was brief and fruitful, he met with the Head Teacher of the school. Moreso, in line with the SDG 3 Quality Education, drive and also based on Kapopcey's Vision and Mission statements, it is necessary to stand in the gap to promote one of the SDGS goals of ensuring that every child receives quality education irrespective of class, tribe or religion.
The school management representative was glad to receive us and also, the school mgt is willing to work with KAPOPCEY as they have a handful of pupils who can not meet up with getting the universal basic Education due to loss of parents and also extreme poverty. In order to hit the nail on the critical issue of educational unavailability for all, KAPPOCEY representative and the school management, pause during the discussion and technically worked out a comprehensive cost per annum for training a child in the public primary school in Abuja, Nigeria. This includes, uniforms, sports wears, text books, stationeries , etc, etc.
After the meeting conclusion was arrived for a minimum amount to spent on each of the most vulnerable school drop out youth per annual.
