KAPOPCEY'S INITIATIVE: VISIT TO THE LEA CENTRAL PRIMARY SCHOOL KARU - ABUJA

Parts of the Vision of KAPOPCEY is to ensure that African and global Youth are well informed and equipped in terms of physical and intellectual capacities. We intend to start off with our immediate community.
Hence, we sought partnership with the LEA (Local Education Authority) Primary School Karu Central Abuja. The visit occured on Thursday, 23rd May at about 11AM Nigerian time. The representative of KAPOPCEY, Mr Ayodeji Ogunlabi met with the Head Teacher and other officials of the School.
CHALLENGES:
1. No ICT Facilities for the school. The school management is willing to donate space for us within the school premises if we can provide either laptops or desktop computers as well as human personnel to spend 2 days in a Week or any other scheduled time as it's convenient for us to train the pupils in Basic Computer Appreciation packages or AI skill. They are willing to freely provide office space for us within the school. 2. Poor Sports facilities 3. Lack of School fees and other Basic Educational needs. It will take an average of $50 per child per Academic calendar year. CONCLUSION: KAPOPCEY shall be seeking partnership with USAID and other well meaning International bodies to help meet up with these challenges.
If we must meet up with the SDGs goal of Equal Education for All, then serious action needs to be taken so as to meet up with the Millennium Development Goals. Best Ayodeji Ogunlabi KAPOPCEY, Abuja
